I’ve always been fascinated by magic – those sleight-of-hand illusions which delight, amaze and seem to defy logic – especially vanishing tricks. That’s why the art of disappearing plays a central part in my new novel, The Vanishing Encore. It’s a story of two sisters. Both vanish at different times. But are their disappearances real or illusion?
